Black roses.
Scattered ashes.
I have walked on the dead.
Now I find that I'm amongst them.
I have despised those who ruled the night.
Now I find that I'm amongst them.
I'm drowning in fear and hatred.
No one can save me.
For those who can save me they despise me.
I hate those who rule the night.
I hate myself.
My heart raced, I tried to control the thick hot blood rushing to my head. I couldn't. The wind drifted my body across the isolated road. The flickering of lamp shades revealed my identity. I turned my head around trying to doge through the streets and run away from the man that ran after me. His cloak swayed from side to side, his long pale face looked like the moon. I tried to avoid any eye contact.
Being a vampire bought me nothing but pain. I had to leave my family and friends in order to rule the night. The vampire that blooded me did not give me the choice but instead he took pleasure in seeing me suffer, the agony of being lonely, and to walk the darkness within this world.
My tongue felt dry and I couldn't produce anymore saliva. My visual had perfected it self after becoming a vampire, well not a full vampire. I'm only half vampire so it means I can go out during day light until my full vampire takes its role. Nothing was to be heard, it seemed as though everything had hibernated. I continued running.
The dark forest left no path for its intruders to walk upon. The trees swayed frantically from side to side as if trying to blind my vision. Abruptly a firm hand grabbed me by the arm and dragged me. I sound came out, perhaps I was in a horrifying nightmare and I would wake up any minute. But I never woke up; this nightmare had become my reality.
'Be quiet child you will attract attention,' said the figure that dragged me through the forest. I obeyed; surely he might be less of a threat than that person that chased me. No! It wasn't just a person possibly the creature of the night, a vampire like me but then I brushed the absurd idea out of my mind. He was just some man that enjoys walking around in the forest during night times, I told myself.
The full moon was visible through a small gap between the over grown trees allowing me to see my rescuer. His long face looked as if it had been carved from wood and his ashen skin shimmered in the dark. 'I can walk my self,' I whispered. The man looked at me as if he had just noticed I was there. The man loosened his grip vigilantly. His eyes were a peculiar colour. It was brown but it looked as if there was a fragment of flaming red burning, wishing to be freed.
The man broke contact with my eyes and continued to walk. I should have run when I had the opportunity but curiosity got the best of me. Little did I know of what the future had in stall for me. I lingered behind him watching his green cloak sway from side to side.
What seemed like eternity of walking through the forest we finally reached land which limited the amount of trees. Was it only now that I noticed his abnormal hair colour. His long blue hair looked unwashed and greasy. I wondered if he ever bothered to take shower. His blue hair emphasized on how pale his face was. All I did was to gawp at my savior.
'Child you shouldn't trust everyone,' said the man, his calm voice reminded me of my mother.
'Yes I know but I didn't have a choice did I?' I replied. The man turned around, a genuine smile fixed on his face.
'You seem pale, you need to feed,' uttered the man. I pretended I didn't know what he was talking about. For a split second I imagined myself to be a normal 15 year old girl that only cared about looks and fashion. The man rolled his green jumper just above his elbow and I saw the mark. He had the same mark I had, the mark that caused me all this misery and obscurity. He was a vampire.I tumbled over and started to get up and run but before I did anything he was in front of me. I should have trusted my instinct.
'My child, you can not undo the past. You are what you are,' stated the man. I knew that but it was more painful when it came from some else. 'I'm merely here to help you and guide you,' he continued.
'Why?' I asked. 'I'm just a nice person I guess,' he replied. He obviously thought I was stupid because I didn't buy his lame excuse for even a second. I frowned skeptically.
'O.k. the truth is I was sent by the seer,' declared the man.
'Why?' I continued my usual questions.
'If I knew that do honestly think I would be wasting these precious minutes standing around,' he said.
I was to some extent convinced. I followed him through the dark alleyway keeping my distance just in case he threatened to pound on me. He suddenly came to a stop and stood in front of railing of wood. 'By the way my name is Soren Freakly. To you that's Mr Freakly,' and with that he lifted the wooden railing and walked underneath it. I followed in queue not knowing what else to do.
It took me a while for my eyes to become a costumed to the dark surrounding. Eventually the dark features came accustomed with my eyes. 'Stay close to the wall until you see light,' mumbled Mr Freakly. I was obedient which came to me as a shock. Dim light glowed some what at the end of the tunnel.
My eye scanned the hall that was built under the ground. It was beautiful. Thousands of candles flickering and red and black roses hung around the hall. Morbid as it seemed I found it . Suddenly it dawned on me that there were people walking and talking chaotically, and they were ? Did I honestly want to become like them, freaks of the night. Who took great pleasure on feeding upon innocent humans? Is this what fate had in stall for me?
So what did you think? Rubbish or good? Please tell me what you think because if I have made a major error I won't be able to improve upon it. Thanks!
