Boredom

By Sukunami Taka

So irreparably boring

This mundane slowness

Study and heat

And daytime T.V

Who cares for

New Rightists or

The Pink Pound

Nothing moves in

Sluggish closure of

A young mind

Going to waste

By the system

Scrapping and sawing

Chipping away once

Eager learning matter

Try to flicker

In an already

Dull sleeping slumber

Can’t remember little

Details of surveys

And patriarchal women

Who has heard

The laughter of

Truly innocent children

When every day

Little troops of

Small marching feet

Drag collapsing bags

To studious rooms

No need for

Similar tasting food

And repeated events

Original thoughts rarely

Appear in moulded

Minds that thinks

This bores me
