Touching boldly on park benches
Piggybacks and naughty whispers.
Your hand resting in my back pocket,
Next to some lint and your heart.

Your caress like a ghost's touch
Haunting my body forevermore.
The warm imprint of your specter fingers
Always forgave my tantrums of love.

Remember nesting deep in your basement
Painting pictures with our bodies
Struggling to stay in contact
Even when you had to say goodbye.

Our lips were like a Ziploc seal,
My side was pink and yours was blue.
Making purple and preventing freezerburn
Late into a very early sunrise.

I still remember the smell of your skin
While we laid silently on artificial grass
Exchanging fluids and sweet nothings
Like the currency of teenage affection.

Our summer romance rode to the top
Peeking over the #2 Billboard hit.
We could've gone Platinum band
Too bad our love was a one-hit wonder.
