X - mess?

when you look at the

sugar-coated, chocolate-loaded, white-bearded red men

parading their reindeer-shaped motor-sleighs

on a neon-clad sky lit with jingle-bells

would you have guessed

this is supposed to mean that

Truth came down to the lying

Life came down to the dying

the Sun dwelt in a drop of rain

Love loved too much to keep from pain

do they tell you

that the voice which thundered all things into being

which whispered each tree

told the ocean to be

and sang every heartbeat of you and of me

was imprisoned in the wail of a helpless babe

in the cry of humanity’s battle

do they teach us to say thank you

for sending us Eternity

encapsulated in a sperm cell?
