Betraying for Love
Prologue

In, Hofe, one of the smallest towns of Rhode Island, which isn't big itself, were two mansions. Although located right next to each other, they have been in a private war for almost 45 years. The children never talked or meet. They had never even seen but a glimpse of the other children in the house next door. For the parents and grandparents forbide it.

The story of these two houses goes back to the grandparents. Ella Fox and Ginger Seal had been the best of friends, they grew up together and then went to college together. Afterwards the even lived together. But a few years later they moved in to separate homes. Here's were the problem started.

Ella...meet a guy. His name was Fred Dolle. He was a principal of a school a few miles away. Ella and Fred soon started to date and Ella slowly fell in love. She swore from the bottom of her heart that he loved her to. So she gave her self to him and later that week introduced him to Ginger.

Ella was very happy by how well Ginger and the man she loved had clicked. The thing she didn't notice was just how well they clicked. Two weeks and four cancelled dates later, Ella was down in spirit and decided to go and visit Ginger. So without calling she headed to Ginger's home.

Only to find the worst nightmare of her life.

When she reached the house the door was slightly ajar so she walked in. Clothes were thrown carelessly on the floor and moans were coming from the bedroom. Cautiously she called out for Ginger. When getting no reply she ventured in to the bedroom. The sight left her shocked. Ginger and Fred lay on the bed tangled together and in rapid motion. Her voice caught, Ella ran from the room and out to her car.

So with the betrayal of a friend and a lover, she was heartbroken. This story was one she told to her son, Paul, when he was old enough to understand and a story that he told to his four children. Paul had 2 girls, Rossette and Blaire, and 2 boys, Joel and Aaron. They all understood that they were not to speak or even look at the three children who lived next door.

The blinds were always kept closed and there doors always locked. The Fox's were really nice people but, with the family next door, they must take certain measures to keep from seeing them. Mostly, they just did these things so that their grandma wouldn't get upset.

Every time the door opened or a shade moved she screamed and wheeled her wheel chair as far away as possible. They knew that it seemed a loony thing to do, but the kids had respect for their grandmother. Besides the children's friends, they only had one visitor. Papa Isaac. Almost 36 years ago, grandma had a wild affair with a younger man, landing her with a son. Papa Isaac was 56 and Grandma was reaching 69. So once a week Papa came to visit his son and grandchildren. Showering them with gifts and love. Grandma wouldn't even look his way.

But they four children still went to school and out on dates and did things with friends. But still, some times, you just can't help but wonder what lies next door.

Especially when your 16 and the boy of your dreams lives there...
