Betraying for Love
Chapter 2
Late that night, as Blaire sat up at her desk, her notebook flipped open, the ideas wouldn't come. She just couldn't write. To much had happen today and her head, as many people had said, was much to small to hold it all in without exploding.
When she had reached her house a few hours earlier, her mom and dad had practically thrown them selves through the door and on to her. After pushing her soakedself into the house, they had lectured her on staying out in the rain and what worrying your parents can do to them. Finally, once their letures had faded, did they notice the raincoat that lay over her shoulders.
Being Levi's, the coat was a few sizes to big and looked like a man's. Her parents had then asked her how she got it, both looking suspicious. She thought for a moment before she had cleverly, in her opinion, replied that she bought it with spare money she found in her bag. Thankfully, they missed the fact that she didn't have her bag, which she relized she had left with Levi. But they didn't need to know that.
Then claming to be tired from her very wet walk home, she climbed the stairs to her room on the top floor in a sluggish, lazy manner. Although, when she reached her floor, inspite of the 4 story climb and her sudden tiredness earlier, she was barely tired and not at all worn out. So she had shut and locked her door, turned on a cd (one of her bands) and pulled out her notebook. Which is were she was now. Sitting, nothing coming to mind, with her notebook.
Flipping back into earlier pages of her songs, she over read a few and smiled. Levi had said that these were good. She thought they all sounded rather silly. Shutting her notebook, she listened as her own voice floated from the speakers of her boom box, which played a self made cd of the band. She really didn't sound that bad. Levi would probaly say she was good. Either just to be nice or maybe he would actually think it...
Suddenly a thought slipped through her oh-so small head. Dusty had said she could invite anyone, so she would just invite Levi. It's not liek her family would be there. Well, maybe her little brother, but he had always been as curious about the neibhors as her, if not more. So, he would probaly be estatic to meet Levi. But there was only one problem now. How woulld she ask him. She didn't even know if she would see him again before the gig.
She snapped her fingers as she figured out what to do. After checking to make sure her door was locked, she walked to the window and slowly opened it. The house was close enough to hers, that one could talk to another in their own rooms. It was great. She quickly glanced around, looking for something small to throw. Spotting a light ballpoint pen, she quickly got it and returned to the window sill. Taking a wild guess at one of the windows, she carefuly aimed and then pitched it. It made a slightly noisey clink and Blaire quickly ducked when a girl's blonde head popped out the window. She quickly peeked back out and noticed the girls head had dissapeared. Voices floated from the house.
"What was it?" She sighed in relief, that was definitely Levi's voice.
"I'm not sure. I'm to tired to figure it out anyway. You check. I'm going up to bed."
"Okay night." A few seconds later Levi's head came in view, and he scanned the area. Not seeing anything he was slowly returning his head back in side. Worried she had lost his attention, she grabbed the closest thing to her and pitched it out the window. Only when her notebook had smacked him in the middle of his head did she really realize she had just thrown it out the window.
"Shit." She said softly. Fortunately, Levi had caught her notebook and he was now looking up at her. "Hey." she said sheepishly. A smile slowly gew on his lips and he shook his head a little.
"Hold on." Seconds later, a light flashed on at the window across from her and Levi opened the window, sitting him self on the sill. "So, do you always throw notebooks at people you've recently meet, or am I just special?"
"It's pretty common with me. I find it to be a sport." He laughed a little.
"Is there any specific reason you wanted to include me in your 'sport?'"
"Maybe I just wanted to talk, or maybe I was so infatuated with your good looks that I just had to get another glance." He pretend to think it over the nodded as if making an important descion.
"Yes. It must be the latter, for I am such a good looking guy."
"Uh. Your so in love with your self."
"Well...with looks like mine, what can I say." Levi puffed out his chest and Blaire rolled her eyes. "But, really, did you want anything?"
"Would it be a crime if I just wanted to talk?"
"For you? Yea." She nodded in agreement and smiled.
"I wanted to invite you to my band's gig. It's two days from now and I would be glad if you showed up. My parents won't be there and you could bring the boys if you need to." Levi looked absolutly thoughtful for a moment before he nodded.
"I'd be happy to attend." He proclaimed. She cheered mentally and stood from her window. She smiled and said good-bye, hesitating before closing the window. For a few seconds she simply stared at the shade, before whipping the window back open.
"Levi!" She said as he turned away to shut the window. He turned back a questioning look on his face.
"Yea?"
"Catch this," she said as she raised her hand to her mouth and blew him a small kiss. As instructed, Levi lifted his hand and closed it over the invisble kiss. Blaire waved before once again shutting her window. Walking to her desk she searched for her pen and notebook, to write down an idea she had suddenly come up with. But the pen seemed to be hiding from her.
It seemed the pen wasn't the only thing impossible to find. Her notebook was being just as difficult. But...wait. She had thrown it at Levi and he'd caught it. So that meant...he still had it?! She sighed. She wouldn't be writing tonight.

"Blaire! Wake up lazy ass!" Her 12 year old brother, Aaron, yelled as her pounded on the door. With a groan, Blaire through the covers off her and got up from bed. Running her fingers over her head as a substitute brush, Blaire pulled open the door. Aaron lost his annoyed look and instantly smiled.
"Morning, Sunshine!" He said joyfully.
"Aaron what do you want?"
"Nothing." He said with a small hidden grin as he slipped by her into the room. The smile told her oppisite of what he had told her.
"Something." She challenged, shutting the door.
"Okay, something, but nothing for you to know."
"Oh, I get it, so you came up her because you didn't have something to say, right?" He nodded.
"Yep." Blaire rolled her eyes and threw her wardrobe open. Out of her family, Aaron would have to be the one sibling she really got along with. He loved skateboarding and, unlike the rest of the family, got along with her friends. Joel, her 15 year old brother, was the biggest Jock you could meet and said something rude and out of line, everytime he spotted one of her friends.
Julie, Blaire's best girlfriend, was a tad bit overweight and her brother loved teasing Julie about it. Zach, fellow band member and best friend, was always trying to pick a fight with him when not under the watchful eye of Blaire's parents. There really wasn't a problem with her 10 year old sister, besides the fact that she swore to be in love with Rusty. So the band avoided her as much as possible.
"Don't you want to know what it is?" Aaron asked after a while. Blaire through a pair of black jean pants and a purple v-neck on her ceder chest and shut the closet
"Nope." She said and watched her little brother gaped at her.
"Really?" She nodded and he smiled in understanding.
"Oh, I see, you really do want to know you just don't want to admit it. Fine," he said standing from her bed. "I'll just tell you. I know about him."
"Him?" Blaire paused at her sock and underwear drawer, turning around. "Him who?"
"Him." Aaron pointed to the window. The simple gesture made Blaire grimace.
"Oh."
"Oh's right, big sister. I caught you and him talking last night." Blaire turned back to her drawer with a shrug. "What, that's it. You mean, you don't care?" She nodded still not facing him. "So, I could go tell mom and dad right now and you wouldn't get mad?" Turning she throw a pair of socks at him.
"Of course I would care, you little idiot. I just know you won't tell." He threw the socks back and Blaire caught them.
"I won't huh?"
"Nope."
"Oh and just why is that." Aaron walked to the door and grabbed the handle, as if going to leave.
"You won't tell, little brother," she said grabbing her clothes and brushing past him. "because you want to meet him." As she took the steps two at a time to the bathroom one floor down, she heard her brother's excited 'whoopie' and smiled, shutting the bathroom door behind her.

The day of the gig arrived in no time and the band seemed less prepared than ever. It was expected though. This was their first gig outside of a garage show. Julie keep forgeting verses and pitches, Rusty and Dusty were taking their frustration out by acting up and annoying people.
The only one who seemed to be collected and know what was going on was Zach. Blaire was going crazy, worrying that Levi would bail on her, when she remembered that she had neglected to metion the location of the gig. Taking in Zach's clamness, she rushed to where he was standing.
"Zach! I need you to do me a favor." Zach smiled.
"What is it?"
"I need you to go to the Dolle's and tell Levi, the oldest, where the gig is. I invited him and forgot that minor detail." Zach stared at her in amazement. Everyone knew of Blaire's family haterd of the Dolle's.
"You invited-no wait-even talked to one of the Dolle's?"
"There is no time for that. Just please, please, do this for me!" He shoke his head but gave in.
"Okay. But you owe me one." She smiled and hugged him.
"Of course!"As Zach rushed off, Rusty and Dusty cornered in on her.
"What's this we hear?"
"Does our 'ittle Blaire have a 'ittle crush?" Rusty pinched one of her cheeks and she slapped away his hand. She opened her mouth to protest but Dusty cut in.
"Oh, I bet he is a doll." Dusty said in a high pitched women's voice, using his last name as an adjective.
"Shut up, you big dolts." They laughed and Julie joined them.
"Blaire, what is going on? Did you really invite a Dolle to the gig?"
"Yea, so what?" Blaire responded starting to get annoyed.
"Do you realize what you playing at? You family hates the Dolles. This will only cause pain." Blaire gripped her fists. What did Julie know anyway.
"Oh, give it a rest, Jules. Blaire is a big girl. Making her own desicons..." Dusty gripped her shoulder and stared at her, before breaking into large, and noticebly fake, sobs and burying himself into Rusty's shoulder, who patted his back in comfort.
"It's okay, Dustin, my dear." Rusty said as he turned them away and started away.
"I know. But she growing up so fast!" Dusty sobbed again and Blaire rolled her eyes. Julie did the same thing before once again turning on Blaire.
"Blaire, I'm serious, this is some big stuff your messing with."
"I know and frankly, I don't care." Julie sighed, giving in.
"Okay, I quit trying to convince you, but, just be careful. Okay?" Blaire smiled and hugged her friend.
"Okay! Now lets go practice our music." Julie groaned but followed Blaire as she pushed her way through the crowd, who was there to see one of the other groups, to find somewhere quiet.

Driving through traffic as fast as he could, Zach gripped the wheel tightly. Beside him Levi sat quietly, his brothers in back. The two boys where making plane noises and smacking their hands together. They had to be back in a matter and 6 minutes or less. But that's not what had him worried. It was the person sitting next to him.
Levi seemed to be a good person, Zach knew for a fact that Levi had good grades and wasn't one of the types who did drugs and such. But there had been several rumors around school a few years back. Levi had dropped out and no one, besides his family, knew the real reason why.
But that still wasn't it. Zach had known Blaire since they where in kindergarden. She was like a sister to him and he obviously knew the story of the Dolles and the Foxs. So, Zach had no idea what excatly Levi's intentions where. Zach could never be sure they where pure or true unless he asked. So, he did precisly that.
Levi stared at Zach, thinking over his question. What are his intentions towards Blaire? Hell, he wasn't even sure yet. All he knew was this girl did something to him he couldn't explain, and right now wasn't looking to.
When Zach had showed up on his door and pushed his way into the house, proclaiming not wanting to be seem by the neighbors. Levi had laughed and shut the door before aksing what he was doing here. Zach had huffed and mumbled somthing about coming to pick him up for the gig. Levi had nodded and reading Zachs look, rushed to get Austin and James ready. Now the three of them where sitting in a car on their way to Blaire gig.
"Why?" He asked referring to the question.
"Just answer the question, Dolle." Zach glared over at him. Levi rolled his eyes.
"I'm not really positive. But when I figure out, you'll be the..." he paused thinking. "...sixth to know." He smiled and turned around in his seat.
