Repeatedly you hurt me
With every turn you stab me in the back
Dagger through my soul
How many “other cheeks” must I turn?

But He answers, “More than seven times seventy,”
So I do
I sit and weep, black tears down my cheek
Betrayed and forgotten, I sit on the floor and cry

But what for, to be scorned?
For that is your only reaction, you monster that I love
You sister consumed with rivalry
Yet I love you

And it is only through pain that Holy Love can be seen
Because Holy Love sees through the pain
And overrides all logic
So through all the anger, bitterness, and rage

I love you

And so I let it go
He forgave my innumerable transgressions, dissolved
So I'll forgive your small peeves
Because He loves us.
