The Unseen Clothed in Words of Flesh

On this timeless moment’s bed,

strewn with Your tenderness

pent up for me from before the dawn of the world,

amid my fragile tears of longing

Your unremitting love opens me up

like some wild flower by the wayside;

I drink the starry sea within Your eyes –

those eyes, clouded with love, a love of which I grasp

so little yet.

My heart melts beneath Your kisses

and all my existence wells up in a single-minded

‘yes’: our spirits unite as we give ourselves to each other

completely.

You’ve entered me to stay,

and I’m awake,

knowing that Your seed now lives in me,

growing, growing into fruit.
