Ocean Gate II: The Other Side

Prologue

It's been a year since Dad, Taylor and I moved into Uncle Warren's mansion. Eric and Elara still live with us, and all the others from the other side of the Gate. Gemedet has determined it his job to be a royal pain in the ass. He and Eric are still together, too.

Ruvaen's still adorably sweet, and Tini's still annoying. Heh, Alex has offered to roast her on a number of occasions. Speaking of whom, he and Elara got married about six months ago, and are already expecting a child. I admit, I'm jealous of them, but I'm also happy for them. And it all started with that little kiss on the river cruise...

Taylor and I are still together, in case you wondered, and are as happy as ever. Dad still hasn't found anyone, but at least he's happier now than I've ever seen him before. I'm glad for that, too. Though... I am rather suspicious that he's seeing someone. Muahahaha.

So yeah, everything's been going great. Taylor got his photography job, and I've sold a few paintings. I'm so proud of myself.

But you know how it always goes. Happiness never lasts for long...

Muahahahahaha!! They're baaack! D Yeah that was super short, but it was kinda supposed to be like an undated journal entry or something, which is why it's in Mark's pov. Obviously this one's not gonna be as silly as I had planned for the first to be, but at least you get to see what things are like on the other side. ...Well, you will anyway. D I'm already writing chapter 1!!
