When it came to matters of love, she was completely oblivious to it. The only loves that were in her live was God, her family and her friends.
All through her life, she hadn't been interested in having a relationship with someone; the only relationships she wanted were platonic. It wasn't until she reached the age of eighteen did she start to notice boys, at this time she had just moved away from home for University. The girl still did not want to have a boyfriend as there were more important things for her, like university work she needed to get done.
As she got older, the more she was noticing guys, but she knew if she had a boyfriend he had to be a Christian like her, so then respect her and her values.
The main value that she kept to, were no sexual relations before marriage. Also another was not letting a boy into her bedroom.
After one terrible experience when she was nineteen of a boy trying to find his way into her bed, she decided enough was enough and that boys were a waste of time. Anyway she thought that all the boys round her age were immature and stupid.
So during the year after she turned twenty, was her third year at university this year would be important to her. During her second year she started going to her churches cell group for eighteen to twenty-five year olds and she started noticing some of the guys that went there, but nothing happened.
During third, nothing eventful happened, except with it being her degree year and that more work had to go into the work that she was doing, even though when she was putting all the effort into the work, she didn't seem to be getting the results needed, but she did get enough marks to gain her entry into the fourth year to earn her honours.
She was asked by the senior warden of the halls of residence if she would be a warden over the summer period, when the students weren't around. As the girl the day before had been asked if she would like to go on summer mission had been praying to see which way God would lead her and then she was asked to stay at the university for the holidays all fourteen weeks of it. She agreed to be the warden, even though she knew she wouldn't see her family a lot over the period of weeks.
One thing that the girl had coming up was a sponsored run, which was going to be run in a nearby town, and she was going to run it with a friend. On the day of the run the girl knew that there was going to be a Christian Kids Camp arriving at the halls of residence and that she was needed to help out, so she did the run with her friend in the morning, once she came back she relaxed in the bath and had her lunch before wandering downstairs at about quarter past three, when she knew people would be starting to arrive.
Even now the girl can not remember the first time she saw him, but she knew his name and kept on seeing him around the place, but she didn't think anything about it.
The boy started asking her questions about herself and the girl not knowing that he was fishing for information about her. Out of the leaders of the camp he was the one she felt the most comfortable with, on the Tuesday of the camp he asked the girl out, she just flew into a panic and grew scared not knowing what to do, but she spoke to a friend and prayed about what she should do and knew clearly the correct thing to do was to say "yes".
The next day she found out that he thought she was avoiding him, so she waited till he was by himself before she spoke to him, and she gave him the answer and he was pleased.
