Brazen and beautiful, sensitive and sweet
innocent and vulnerable, outgoing and shy
wanting to be strong but soft to the touch
wanting and giving, not always willing to take
trying to please... satisfaction at best

In meeting herself, there are new found emotions
there is a confidence, a drive... like there is nothing she should hide
the shame, the worthlessness, the undeserving feelings wash away
the light from within her shines ever so bright
although she can't see it the warmth feels so right

friends reaching out to her, caring and concerned
teaching her that she is all that she needs
they are usually close by if she falls off of her horse
and frequently reminds her that she is stronger than she thinks
she can't always see the forest from the trees
but she is still learning that she is so much more
