This is a Role Play I did with my friends. It actually turned out quite nicely since most of the time any Role Play I get into tends to flop right away.
Can Yasa, a high strung rifle man, Kyokai, a compulsive kleptomaniac, Kyo, a demon looking pervert, the violent woman Liune, and Korurinu, a mysterious assassin with two personalities save the day?
The Twisted Road

Yasu greeted the day as any other. Despising it, like he would any other. Walking by a field, he caught sight of a wild herd of cattle. "Hmmm," He pondered. "How long has it been since I had beef?" Aiming his his rifle, he fired. The bullet flew and struck true, revealing the form of a human. "Oh fornication, these aren't cows! It's the infamous bovine bandits! Known for trampling anyone that gets in their way to death!"
Fearing his life, Yasu ran. And ran, and ran, and ran. Until he thought that he could run no more. Then he saw a girl that was also running from another herd of bovine. "Well, isn't this lucky?" mused Yasu.
Kyokai ran into the open field panicking. There was a figure there in the distance. Her eyes widened when she looked behind her. They were gaining on her...
"Quickly sir!" She yelled as she ran toward the person she had seen in the distance. "Run!" She saw that he held some sort of firearm, but didn't have time to say anything else but, "Run! Stampede!" She yelled. And out from behind her, ran a stampede of what she thought were cattle.
Yasu hurried trying to get in position. Soon, he found himself in the cross roads. "Excellent. Now to place the bomb." As Yasu placed his mine, he again saw the girl that was still running away from the cows. "BEAN CURD!" He cursed. He thought that she would have been able to get rid of those cows. "Why do I have to be a good guy?" Yasu questioned.
Kyokai kept running, but the man in front of her didn't seem to get the hint to get out of the way. Then from the corner of her eye she saw something sparkling.
"Huh?" But she didn't have time to think. "Grr..." She growled and turned before she was even half way across the field facing the oncoming cattle. Then yelling, she flung her hand up before her face producing a number of ninja stars and threw them at the oncoming cattle. A couple of them hit the first few cows in the face, but they didn't even flinch and just kept coming.
"Wha?" She questioned and realized that the cattle didn't seem to move quite right. Then she was surrounded by the herd who took off their skins to reveal...
"You mean they're people?" Kyokai said aloud.
"Are you Kyokai Dakkiyaka?" One of them asked.
"And what if I am?" She asked perturbed as one of the other men grabbed her arm.
"You've caused enough trouble already. You're coming with us..." He said sternly as more men surrounded the young sixteen year old.
"Let go of me you creeps!" Kyokai struggled, but the men didn't desist. Seeing it was no use talking sense into them, she smiled knowingly. "If you don't let go of me, you'll be sorry..." She said in a mischievous voice, but was ignored. "Grr..." She gritted her teeth.
She noticed that they were headed toward the warrior man that she had originally seen. But instead of waiting for what would happen, she produced two small ninja stars in each hand and swiped them at her capturers. They let go in surprise.
"Hah hah! Suckers!" She yelled and leapt into the air. Then jumping of one of their heads while sticking her tongue out, she noticed something in the distance. That was when she fell...
Meanwhile, on the edge of the field, a shadowy figured slowly blinked away the sleep from his eyes. He looked down from his perch in one of the many tall trees of the forest to see what racket had brought him from his slumber. Looking down upon the open field bordering the forest, the shadowed figure watched with a small amount of amusement as a young girl ran frantically away from a horde of stampeding cattle.
From another angle, the shadowed figure could see another man converging in on the small field. The figure could easily tell that he was not being chased by cattle, but by humans dressed as cows...
Needless to say, the figure sitting lazily in the tree found this all quite amusing and shifted his position to get a better view of the show that was about to commence. He raised an eyebrow as he witnessed the human dressed as bovine surround the young girl. By the looks of it, they seemed to know her. He simply leaned back in order to see how things played out.
Yet, joining the shadowy figure was another. He was called Korurinu, and he was on the look out for potential enemies and/or allies...
He needed a small clan to help him with his next mission. He noticed the young 16 year old easily dragged off. 'Surely this one cannot even defend herself; not a useful warrior.' He also noticed the one in front of him up in a tree, also watching within the shadows. 'This one might have some potential...' To test this lurker's strength, Korurinu took out a small throwing spike, and flung it at medium speed toward his new "pupil" when he saw a sudden reaction...
As the figure in the tree watched the little displaying going on in the grassy field, he paid no real mind to the newcomer who had just emerged below the tree he was perching in.
With a casual tilt of his head, he dodged the incoming blade as it imbedded into the tree trunk next to his head. Not taking his eyes off the bovine spectacle, the figure pulled out the small blade from the tree and dropped it down into the stunned hands of the person below.
"Drop something?" The figure mumbled, only sparing a minor glance down to see the curious look of the man below him. The man could have been no older than maybe nineteen or twenty...
The figure snorted, weren't children suppose to RESPECT their elders... Though curiously, the figure didn't appear as though he held much age himself...
'Hmm... ' Korurinu thought, 'this one might have some potential...'
"How would you like to join someone with real power, unlike these idiots you were watching; I could show you some techniques." The figure in the tree said nothing, although Korurinu saw the slight tilt of its head as it resumed watching the fools in the field.
'Ignorant child... he knows not of what he could learn from me, but then again, it's his loss...' Korurinu thought as he departed in search of more allies for his mission...
The man in the tree looked down as the man below let out a disgruntled 'hmph' and walked off. It really didn't matter at all to him. The figure had been walking this earth and learning the ways of the world long before that man's father was even in diapers. He again focused his attention on the girl who was now trying to escape from the bovine bandits.
Yasu watched as the girl tried to get away unsuccessfully. The group of bandits ignored him as they tried to grab the girl who was walking on their heads. A couple feet further and they would have walked upon his mine. Then the girl fell and the crowd stepped closer to his mine.
Out of idea's, Yasu ran toward the crowd and grabbed the falling girl, trying to get her out of the blast zone. "I'm getting to old for this." He muttered. He ran, not looking back to see if the men were still following him. A couple seconds later, a large explosion resonated throughout the plain as his bomb went off. First making sure that the bandits that survived ran away, he put the girl down.
"Now then," he said, "My name is Yasu, any idea why those guys were chasing you?"
A befuddled Kyokai flustered red, not quiet sure of what happened. Then folding her arms and turning away she said in an bragging voice, "Of course I know why they where chasing me!" She yelled and then stumbled. "I think..." She said scratching her head.
"It could have something to do with the fact that I weaseled that kid back at the market into trading me his food for a supposedly magic stick." She smirked. "Or maybe because I accidentally stumbled in on their secret meeting that one time..." She said squinting her face.
"Or it could be..." She said trailing on. "Because they're no good scum bag people with nothing better to do than to run around disguised as cattle chasing girls who could probably beat them all if they each fought fairly one to one... Heh heh... But other than that... who knows why they were chasing me, the little bovine loving freaks." She spat scratching her stomach nonchalantly.
"Say..." She said eying Yasu up and down slyly. "That's a nice weapon you got there... you weren't interested in selling were you?" She snickered. Then putting on her sweetest smile she waited for his answer.
He sweat dropped as he stared at the puppy dogged eyed girl. Instinctively, he reached behind his back to hold onto his rifle protectively... Only to find that it was no longer strapped to his back. Feeling around, the young rifleman could no longer find his weapon upon himself.
"Klack" Turning around, Yasu found his rifle within the possession of an odd looking man. He was tall with long back hair that braided down his back. His nails seemed to be unusually thick and sharp. He was dressed in black clothing, with no visible weapons to see.
Well, except for the rifle, in which he was currently examining... As he looked straight down the barrel of it... Paying absolutely no attention to the two young people staring at him in confusion.
"Uh sir? That isn't the way you hold a rifle." Yasu said, "Unless you want your face blown off. Here let me show you."
Yasu took the rifle away from the man and started a long winded talk about gun safety, chemical reactions, gunpowder and so forth.
Then after he could see that both of them had no idea what the heck he was talking about, he aimed his rifle at a tree and fired, shattering bark every which way in the process. "Now that," Yasu stated, "Is why you don't point rifle at your face. Now for you young lady, I am sorry, but I will not sell my rifle. But, since I am curious how much do you have?"
The young Ninja girl smiled sheepishly, as she slowly back away.
"Uh, that's okay... You know what... I, uh... suddenly realized, I have somewhere I need to be." With that the girl turned around and began heading away, only to be grabbed by the darkly dressed man. With a loud 'EEP!' Kyokai found herself being held upside down by the mysterious man who had what appeared to the girl as an amused expression. He unceremoniously began to shake her like a rattle... causing a number of items on her to fall to the ground.
Upon closer inspection, Yasu's eyes bugged out.
"Hey! Those are my bullets!" He exclaimed as he stared at the pile of fallen items. "... And... My gunpowder?! My matches... and... HEY! My money purse!!"
Irritably, the young Rifleman collected his belongings and then stared, glaringly at the young ninja girl who was now back on the ground and scratching her head sheepishly, doing her best innocent little girl act.
"Er... I didn't realize that stuff was that important to you..." She said impishly, doing her best innocent puppy dog eyes.
'Hmm... these warriors are not quite what I had expected, but...' Korurinu thought still in the shadows of the forest. The one who had dodged his throwing spike, had now joined the rifle man and the girl so no one saw Korurinu change into Kirume, his assassin persona. 'They might rise against me some day... I must dispose of them here and now,' He thought, now completely in assassin mode...
As he conjured up his dark bomb, he noticed the bark of the tree explode in front of him. He looked again at the so-called "warriors" and saw that one of them had a rifle. 'Now I have to exterminate them. A rifle in the hands of anyone could be dangerous.' He thought as he prepared to fire...
What will happen next time, when Kirume attacks the three warriors? The mysterious man receives a note and meets a woman from his past while Yasu reveals his true personality.
