THE DREAMER
I'm looking at the world through a haze
Watching the world and seeing only what I want to
Distorted shapes and shadows
But they don't hurt me
Because I am looking at the world through a haze
Where I'm looking everything's fine
Everybody likes me in this little world of mine
I don' see pain or dearth or sin
Because I see only that which can't hurt me
In my little world within
And that's the only way I like it
I've lost my faith I've lost my pride
That's why I made this world inside
All I see are the shades and shapes around me
When you forsake me I forsake the world
And now I have spent so much time dreaming
I have forgotten what the hell
I am dreaming about.
