Chapter one Why Me?

When Julie Mathers was a little girl, she was her parents dream. After dealing with her older brother, Lucas, for the last two years, their little girl was a miracle to them. Well behaved, respectful, everything a parent could hope for. With little chestnut curls, and a rosy complexion, she was also beautiful. The beautiful churls, the good manners, and her soft ways, followed her to adulthood.

Until one day, on the eve of her 16th birthday, everything came crushing down around her.

She remembered little of the events that happened before the incident. That day had been the same as any other. Except that her bus driver, instead of dropping her off at her front step as he usually did, he was running late that day, and had to drop her off at the corner of her street. Only about 15 houses away form her own, the walk seemed fine to her, and safe because of the wonderful neighborhood that she lived in. Of course safety really didn't cross the minds of the inhabitants of the sleepy Massachusetts town of Pearl Lake, so that day was no different.

Now, with time to think, she realized that her feeling of security in the sleepy town was her undoing. Because of her trust in this town, she never realized that the man in the dark blue jacket was harmful. Because of her false sense of safety, she never saw the gun in his hand, and she never knew he had been watching her for the last week and a half. No, the town was safe; the neighborhood watch was always on patrol. Of course this man realized that, and had planned ahead.

"Put you arm around me and act happy, like i'm your boyfriend." He whispered in her ear as he put the gun to her side and pushed in. She did as she was told of course.

"I swear if you say a word, even utter a peep that i'm harming you, I will not only blow your face off, but anyone that's "kind" enough to help you. Now you wouldn't want to hurt anyone would you?" He said as he smiled, making it look as if they were having the best conversation in the world.

"No, please let me go, I won't tell anyone, I take whatever you want, I don't care". She whispered, as she got a good look at his face. He was tall, at least 6'2, dark brown hair that was cut short. He was clean, not the kind of man you would expect to hurt someone. Of course they never are she realized. He had a square jaw, and dark, brown eyes.

"Money is not something I need or want from you Julie, But I have something else in mind," He whispered in her ear.

"How do you know my name?" She quietly uttered, realizing now that he had been watching her, maybe even for quite some time. He turned and stared at her, and she knew then that this man didn't want her money, he wanted something much more dear to her, he wanted her body. He never answered her question; instead he put her into the front seat of his blue grand am, and drove away to some unknown destination. When they arrived, Julie was stunned to see that it wasn't some dingy cell like she expected, but rather a modest middle class home. He led her inside, and to the bedroom. There he told her to remove her clothing, which she did with shaking hands.

"God you are beautiful. I've been waiting a long time for this Julie. Now lay on the bed," He instructed. She hesitated, and he held the gun up, and of course she did what she was told.

The whole act lasted an hour, and when he was finally satisfied, he lay there looking down at her while she cried. But then, he again did the unexpected. He handed her the clothes she had been wearing, and he led her to the door.

He let her go free. But Julie knew that now she would never be free, he had taken the one thing Julie had held onto so tightly, the one thing she hadn't even given her boyfriend of two years, Rick. He took that from her, and she would never be free.

A/N Ok tell me what you think. I hope people like this one, because i'm trying hard. Constructive points are welcome, but nothing mean. (
