Note: This is my second story. I have one on .net under this same name. It's a KH one. ^_^ Well, this is actually a short story for after another of my works-in-progress. I have another story to go with this one, but it's not done yet. I'll finish it sometime, soon hopefully. Please R&R. Thanks!

Dragon DayDreams

Just A Dream

A light flashed. Miranda stood in the doorway to her bedroom, looking out.
What's going on? she thought.
She walked out to the balcony looking into the living room. There, her parents were standing facing a huge, dark shadow that seemed to change and shift every few seconds.
YOU HAVE PLAGUED ME ENOUGH! shouted a voice. It seemed to be coming from the shadow. NOW I SHALL FINALLY BE RID OF YOU!
Miranda's parents drew weapons out of nowhere.
"We will fight you!" shouted Zane, her father.
"To the end, bitter or happy." Said Ari, her mother.
They charged the shadow with their strange, new weapons, passed right through the shadow.
HA, HA, HA! SEE! YOU CANNOT HARM ME! I AM INVINICBLE! He laughed, for now Miranda could tell that the Shadow was a "he". NOW I SHALL GET YOU OUT OF MY WAY!
He threw .at Miranda's parents. For a moment, they looked shocked. Then, the life seemed to leave them and their bodies turned to stone. Miranda heard a voice in her ear.
"We will always be with you. We love you, Miranda." Said the voice of her mother.
"Mother. Father." She sobbed. She tried to keep it quiet but the Shadow heard her.
IS THERE ANOTHER HERE? I WILL GET YOU, TOO!
"Run, Miranda!" commanded her father's voice. "Run! Quickly!"
Miranda fled for her life. Then, time seemed to fly. Months passed. Friends came and went. People and cities passed her by. But she was always running, running from the Shadow. Then, she sensed something. Something she felt she must find. Something, somewhere nearby. She reached to where she thought it was and her outstretched arm suddenly burned, as if on fire. She yelled and suddenly, she was sitting up, awake in bed.
Just a dream. She thought, until she heard noises downstairs.
She got up and went to her door. As she opened it to look out, a light flashed.
