All day could I sit here
And reminisce of things
That were all discarded
My fairy tales of kings
I dreamed of the maidens
In the tall black towers
Of the knights in shining armor
Come, bearing flowers
I always was a child
whose head was full of air
All my life they told me
"You dream this in err"
But now I have learned,
In my few, meager years,
That all your prayers and dreams,
God always hears
Dreams do come true
And hopes are not mere desire
You can have it all
Your fantasies, you'll acquire
And why do I say this?
How did I reach the conclusion?
Is it all fact?
Or just an illusion?
I know this truth
Because I have you
You were heaven-sent
This, God says, is true
