Dank, gloomy, shrouded in darkness,

Rotting within the dull stone walls,

Brooding, stirring, feelings of hate

Deceit and unclad guilt perturbed.

Single, shimmering, wicked flame

Revealing crusted blood clad walls.

Haunting, damning, terrible truths

Caught and laid bare by cursed light.

Ritual, immoral, bright light

Expands and destroys lie-built walls.

Breaking, dieing, shivers commence

Unable to turn from light’s truths.

Stubborn, rebellious darkness keep

Kill this truthful light with black walls.

Comforting, connecting, untruths

Keep back the light; bring forth the dark.

Tediously, it slowly fades,

Light leaves behind tattered walls.

Smiting, beating, feared memories,

Left in the wicked flame’s shadow.

Twisted, distorted, faint dim glow,

No light to caress unfeeling walls.

Terrorizing, taunting brief chills

Blank face, emotions cannot show.

Dank, gloomy, shrouded in darkness,

Rotting within the dull stone walls,

Hiding, contriving, overt dread,

Bleak and empty; only a past.
