"Any idea where we are Dani?" Sarah had a confused and scared look on her face as she said this. "No, but I'm sure we'll figure it out soon enough," I said. I meant to say it with confidence, as if to comfort her, but most likely, I came off a little more scared than Sarah herself sounded. We were lost. I was sure, but I was trying as hard as possible to not let it show.

Making absolutely no progress, I took off my backpack and sat down on the nearest rock. Sarah joined me, looking terrified. I was just afraid we wouldn't be able to find our way out. "So." Sarah said as she looked around in the darkness of the forest. I looked at Sarah trying to comfort her and fool myself at the same time into believing that everything would be okay.

After giving up all hope of ever getting out or getting to where we wanted to go, I saw a slight shimmer out of the corner of my eye. I turned to see what it was, expecting it to be my imagination, I saw a shimmering wall. "Sarah, come take a look at this," I said moving closer. Sarah stood up reluctantly wondering what the hell I was up to. Her mouth opened as if to speak but stopped as soon as she saw the wall. Sarah steeped closer to me to get a better look as well. "What the fuck," said Sarah reaching her hand towards it. "No." I said snatching Sarah's hand back. Sarah then gave me her infamous look, basically saying "And I'm supposed to listen to you?" She kept her head towards me as she slowly put her hand through it. I grabbed onto her and I suddenly felt a tingling sensation. I felt as if someone was pulling me apart from the inside out. Then, I blacked out. The last thing I remember is looking at Sarah with forgiving eyes.

I woke up to find an incredible light shining in my eyes. I looked to the side almost blinded, hoping to see Sarah. She wasn't there so I tried to stand up in order to look for her. I stumbled a bit, falling onto a soft patch of ivy. I lifted my head to see a still body lying a few yards away. I tried to stand but my legs wouldn't obey so I crawled over to where Sarah lay being cautious not to scare her in case she was awake. If there was one thing I knew it was to never scare Sarah.

When we were younger Sarah came to school with bruises and cuts spread out on her body. I took her aside and asked her what had happened. She said that one night, when her parents were fighting, she went to her room and fell asleep to get away from it all. She was awoken by blows to her back and side. From then on whenever she was sleeping, waking her up was a task. She would have memory relapses and would make sure that what happened to her the first time never happened again. I learned that the hard way and still have the scar to prove it.

Slowly, I stroked her hair, to let her know everything was all right. She stirred a bit, and opened her eyes slowly. She groaned and clutched her head. "I think I hit my head on that damn rock." She cussed a bit under her breath and made it clear she wished that rock were living so that she could kill it. She sat up and looked around. "Where are we?" I truly looked around for he first time and said, "I don't know." We looked at each other, not able to believe what we were seeing.

There were some houses, they looked newly built, and there was no one outside. I looked a little bit more, to see what else I could find. Maybe someone to tell us where we were. I suddenly saw a boy come from out of one of the houses. I couldn't tell his age, but he was old enough to know where he lived. I pointed to show Sarah what I was gazing at. She nodded as if she knew what I was going to do. I attempted to stand once more, and my legs had eased. I was still a bit wobbly, but it was good enough. I helped Sarah up, and she balanced on my shoulder.

We slowly made our way to the house, in which suddenly smelt of chocolate chip cookies. The boy looked at us, and raised an eyebrow. He looked about 16, tall, brown hair, and very good looking. But the most noticeable part about him was his beautiful green eyes. He flashed a smile and said, "Are you guys okay?" I chuckled as I replied. "Does it look like it to you?" He hopped over the veranda and came between the two of us, we balanced on his shoulders as he led us up to his porch. We sat in the chairs, which looked highly appealing. "Oh, and by the way," He said and smiled. "I'm Josh." I nearly melted. I figured from then on. I'd be okay.
