Matt woke up from his sleep. It was only knocking on his door that made him wake up. He got up and ran his hand through his hair to make it look like his hair was at least partially fixed up. He looked at the clock and it seen that it was only Nine-Thirty in the evening. He opened the door and seen a pick up truck drive off and in front of him was a brief case. Matt picked the brief case up and got back in his house...He knew what it was.

He picked the keys up off the side table by wear he was sleeping. The garage door flew open and the Intrepid came rolling out. No music, no radio whatsoever. It was a quiet night and moon was partially blocked out by a skyscraper. Matt took a right turn on Vincent Avenue and parked the car along the side. He turned his attention to the briefcase in the passenger seat. Opening it up there was a clip for a handgun and a sheet of paper explaining his job.

The job was as simple as they came. He had a weapons pick up to do. There was a job going down within the next few days...a major heist in the town and two local gangs were teaming up for it. The secured information in the document he held explained that the two gangs never met. He already did away with one obstacle and now his mission was to take out a gang leader and assume his identity.

Matt continued on and took the clutch off park and back into drive. He drove off along the ever so quiet Vincent Avenue. He continued on switching streets. From Broadway, to Main, and from Main to Fletcher. Now Fletcher is this long street, a naked street. It was a street bathed in darkness. There were no street lights to be found on Fletcher yet there were many houses. Matt took advantage of the darkness and found the darkest part of the street and parked along side it. He jumped out of car and back into the backseat where here he continued to put on a suit, to make him look a little more important I guess. Matt then looked across the street to the only house around that had a light on. He then looked at his watch to see what time it was. It was a bit after midnight now. He got out of the car once again. Matt started walking down the street and at the end of Fletcher he took a left turn and walked the entire distance back to Broadway. Here at Broadway he walked in to a large hotel. The hotel receptionist seen a man dressed in an olive green suit with a brown briefcase walking through the revolving doors.

Matt walked up to the man at reception. "May I be able to use the telephone?" asked Matt, "I am sorry sir but here at the Cambridge you must have purchased a room in order to have use of our services." the man told him. "Well how bout it can I have a room?" "It just so happens that we do have a room that is not in use." "Money is no object, so where is my room?" he asked the man, "Twentieth floor, and room 2015. Can you find your own way sir?" he asked, but Matt was already in the elevator on his way up to his room. Now he was on the twentieth floor and walking along the right hand side. The hotel room he was in looked down at the ballroom as well as outside. It was a very nice room. He put his briefcase on the bed and walked over to the ballroom window. "Well this is more convenient than I would ever imagine. This worked quite good for me." Matt said to himself. He now walks over to the bed and sat down, picking the case up and putting it back down on the desk where he opened it. 'Well the address is right.' he said. He began to look around and then he spotted it behind the case. "Yeah, could you send a taxi to the Cambridge hotel on Broadway, going to Fletcher." Matt said and then he hung up the phone.

Matt and his briefcase went back down to the lobby and waited half an hour before the taxi came. The taxi pulled up and Matt hopped in the cab. It began to roll away down the street as Matt began looking at familiar landscapes that he had seen as he was on the way there before. Now on Fletcher, the endless dark void of a street, Matt looked to the right and seen his black Intrepid that he parked. "Right here is good." Matt said. The taxi stopped, Matt handed the driver the money and got out. He looked back for a second and than the driver of the cab drove off leaving Matt behind.

Matt was now looking at his mission, a house. The house where the gang leader was living. Matt took off his suit coat leaving a whit dress shirt. On that white dress shirt was a holster with his pistol. He took his pistol out and loaded it with the clip provided for him in the case. Matt than took a lighter out of his pocket and destroyed the briefcase, then threw the lighter away. Matt quietly began walking towards the front door of the house. The door was not locked and so he walked in. He heard a bang and ran towards it. It was in the kitchen. It was the back door. Matt ran outside after them. Outside he seen two figures trying to make it over a fence. Matt managed to get three shots off. They all hit the same person. One hit him in the back of the knee, and two in the back. The man was still alive.

Matt took the man back into the house, back into the kitchen. The kitchen was dirty and on the kitchen table there was a hill of blow. There was a mountain of chaos about to overflow in the kitchen. He sat the man down at the table and began asking questions. "So which are you? Are you the leader or the follower?" Matt asked, "I am...The...L-l-l-leader." the man said, "Well Mr. Shepard, my job here is just about done. Just about done." Matt said, he then looked all around until he seen a little crate. "The weapons?" Matt asked, "Y-y-yeah." the gang leader said in reply. "Good..." Matt said. Matt got up from his chair and walked over to the drawer nearest to the fridge. And opened it...nothing, the next drawer...bingo. He took out this gigantic knife. He walked over to the man and slit his throat. He was finally dead. The mission was now finished...Well almost anyway.

He grabbed the dead gang leader, former gang leader, and put him over his shoulder. He dragged him out to the trunk of his Intrepid which was on the other side of the road and put him in. Matt got into the drivers seat and buckled his seat belt, and started the car. He than noticed something, the brights of another car directly behind them. "They were fucking tipped off. I have to get out of here." Matt said, driving off. The other car behind him began to follow. "So a chase it is."

A high speed chase began and Matt was being tailed. The gang (or whoever it was) was getting closer by the second. Matt turned off Fletcher onto a street he was familiar with. It was Glenn Street. On Glenn, Matt quickly took a right into an alley. This alley led back to Glenn. When he got to the other side and back on the street, he had lost his aggressors. He followed Glenn to McAdam and than followed McAdam half way down the street to where there was a large sign that said. New Bay Junkyard, he pulled in and found another car, a junk car. He got out and popped the trunk, took the body from inside and put him in the trunk of the junk car that he found. He hopped back in the car and had a big sigh of relief before he put the car in reverse and got back on the road.

He took the car back to the hotel where he parked it. In the parking lot was the car, the car that was following him. They knew where he was going to be. They knew who it was. They must have known it was Matt. Matt got out of the car and took out his gun.

He shot the rear window of the car, nothing happened. Than he felt somebody behind him. His reflex is what kept him alive. He snapped the mans neck that was behind him. A shadow, Matt seen a shadow, than he seen the man. One shot to the head is all it took and the two men were on the concrete floor. Matt turned around and walked back to the car. He opened the passenger side door and took out the weapons crate. He walked over to the elevator in the far corner and pressed the up button. One quick glance back at the memories of the night and than he knew he was safe, he knew he was "home".

Note: yes I know this was kind of repetitive, but I thought that it was a pretty good second chapter in terms of moving the story along. Oh I am kind of writing this as I see it in my head and visualize it all. Thank you to the people that reviewed it, that being one person. Angels Cry Bloody Tears. Thank you for your kind words.
