Within the realm of everything, and all the lives we lead,
with all the tears that we do shed, and all the blood we bleed;
What true hurts await upon the path I’ve yet to trail,
and what treacherous oceans and dangerous seas do I have yet to sail?
And yet upon the highest waves, and all the gales of hell;
Will my greatest fears still lie ahead? For I can not yet tell.
Before me lies a future, bleak and shaded black,
And a past that I will sorely miss forever at my back.
It seems in just a moment, my life leapt a hundred years,
But who, for just a second’s time, would weep so many tears?
There is a path that I must walk, and you alone have yours,
We both now must take different maps, and keys to different doors.
The stars are ours to reach for, though they may not be the same,
our minds have grown, our desires changed, but our hearts still remain.
And yet I remember now, that fear; Will I meet it should I stray?
I turn to you and wonder; Will you forget me and walk away?
