Twinkle, Twinkle
Author:
Steel Winged Angel PM
This goes out to Matthew. Finally, a poem about the beauty of stars rather than the pain of stars. Twinkling above, hearing the whispers of the one I love. Please R&R.

Twinkle, twinkle star of mine
Caught within the strands of time
There within the blackened sky
Sparkling like the tears I cry
Hearing every wish I say
Hope for me in my darkest day.

Twinkle, Twinkle little star
As I gaze from afar
You hold my deepest, darkest wish
You've seen the joy, the smiles, the bliss
Hold my heart within the sparkle, sparkle
Within a sky as black as charcoal.

Twinkle, Twinkle up above
Hear the whispers to the one I love
Add to the threads and seams
Making up a dreamers dream
Fluttering hearts and long sighs
Pain and suffering shimmers and dies.

Twinkle, Twinkle like a diamond in the sky
Only witness to the tears I cry
Guide to me on the journeys of life
Leading me out of the darkness of my strife
The glimmer of hope when hope eludes me
A simple reason for my soul to be free.

Twinkle...
Twinkle . . .
Little star.
