So Sorry
So sorry you don't understand me,
So sorry you can't stand up for yourself,
So sorry you can't do what you say you will do and then back down.
So sorry that you can't quit this bad habit that you have.
Always you say it will be different but always it stays the same.
How did this cycle begin?
When will this cycle end?
So sorry you can't see the truth
So sorry you can't see the real picture
So sorry you cannot see what I see.
This family is falling apart at the seams,
The pretend perfect picture is fading.
This life is not what I should be,
This life is pain,
This life is sorrow.
So sorry you can't see it for what it really is,
So sorry you can't do what needs to be done but maybe some day when we are
gone you will see what we see.
See the destruction,
See the torture,
See the real him, and come to realize that this will never and can never be
perfect.
Now matter what you say it can never make this better,
No matter what you say it cannot change what he says or what he does,
No excuse you make can justify him not being there,
No matter what you do you can never make up for it.
So sorry that it will take you forever to realize this situation is making
me fade away,
Making our bond fade away.
So sorry that you can't see how every word from his mouth causes a tiny
scratch in the surface of my heart,
So sorry you don't know what he says to me when you aren't there,
How you will never know,
How you can't feel the pain that I feel when those horrible words fall from
his mouth.
So sorry you can't make him go away,
So sorry I can't make him go away,
So sorry for the both of us,
So sorry that this will make us mad in the end and tear us apart,
So sorry that the truth cuts so deep that you feel you will never survive,
So sorry that it will take losing me to realize the truth.
