A/N: Not much to say, you don't like it then don't read it, if you find it stupid good for you, no one forced you to read it. Other than that this story is based on a true story, and is sticking the true story, but some parts were added to make it more interesting. Well that's about it enjoy! The chapters will be relatively short as it deals with more dreams and stuff, if you want it longer just imagine all the normal stuff that goes on at your school and then picture the whole shadowed dreams. Again I repeat, I KNOW THE CHAPTERS ARE SHORT! I meant for them to be that way as this is my shortest story yet xP

 Rise From The Shadows

Chapter 1: Recurring Dreams

Fiona, a typical teenager at the ripe age of 15, with shoulder length black hair, cut into layers, and big brown eyes, that could stare you down. She had slightly tanned skin, and was the height of about 5 foot 3. She lay in her bed, a twin mattress, set on top of a wooden bed frame that had drawers underneath. The bed was placed against the wall of her room, which was narrow and painted a pale pink. The T.V. flashed its usual commercials right across from her, as it sat on top of a wooden table. The window placed between her bed and the TV, right beneath it a big blue box, sort of like a tote, which had her phone and other junk on top of it. It was around 11 pm, on a Tuesday night when it started. Fiona had had these recurring dreams, each featuring the same shadowy figure, the same expressions, and usually the same place. Tonight, it had happened again, as she lay unconscious, deep in sleep.

Fiona is walking in a building, rather shadowed, only one lamp hanging from the ceiling was on, the light bulb growing dimmer and dimmer as the bulb was running out of energy. She stood in an empty room, alone; it was only her and the swinging lamp. Suddenly a pair of arms from behind embrace her, a shadowy figure appearing from behind, she turns her head slowly around, she is facing a shadowed figure, unable to make out any features, other than they are rather strong, and about a head and some taller than her. Soon she is engulfed in a tight embrace, the shadowy figure tracing kisses down her neck…Fiona tries to break free of his hold, but he is much too strong. She grabs his hand, pretending to want to hold it, then tries to bite it, but he pulls the hand away…then…

She wakes up, the feeling of the stranger's arms around her still stays, she look frantically beside her, but there is nothing there, only a pillow that is practically plastered to the wall. She looks around once more, and sees nothing but the familiar outlines of her things. Fiona once again falls into a deep slumber, but no dreams of the shadowy figure appear.

 "BEEP, BEEP, BEEP"

Fiona's watch beeped continuously, it was now 7:00 am the next day, as she remembered the dream with the shadowy figure vividly. She lied in her bed for another half an hour, flipping channels on the television before she got up and got ready for school. Every morning it was the same thing, Fiona would set her alarm half an hour early, and she would lie down in bed for half an hour. After watching a half an hour show of "Ollie's Adventures" she finally decided to get up and get ready for school. Fiona lifted up her toothbrush, squirting a bit of toothpaste onto it, then into her mouth, brush, brush, and brush. Then she spat out the toothpaste after, and rinsed her mouth, then off to washing her face, scrub away. After about 15 minutes of preparation she was finally finished, which meant she had 15 more minutes to waste before her friend Nathalie would come to walk with her to school. She decided to fix her hair first, since she hated having it down, after what seemed like hours, she finally decided to leave her hair in a ponytail, walking downstairs with book bag intact, she headed for the kitchen to grab her lunch.

"Ding dong." Fiona's doorbell rang aloud, as she opened the door standing there was her friend Nathalie, a Spanish girl, barely 5 feet, with curly, dark brown hair. A smile plastered all over her face, "Hey Fiona, what's up?" she said as she walked into Fiona's house.

"Not much, I just had a really weird dream last night…." Her voice trailed off as her friend looked at her expectantly.

Fiona told Nathalie about her dream, while Nathalie listened politely, nodding to show she understood. After a while, as Fiona spoke to Nathalie while packing her lunch and getting ready to leave Nathalie finally spoke up, "That's really weird…." As she looked at Fiona curiously, but Fiona shrugged the feeling off as she looked at the clock.

"It's 8:07 am, we better get going." She said rather panicky, she always liked to arrive early because all her friends took the bus and got there early, and coming early meant more time to socialize. Nathalie simply nodded as they headed back towards the front door.

She arrives at school, looking frantically for her other best friend Shuki, Shuki was Chinese, mandarin to be exact, and Fiona always told her everything, in hopes for some advice or some comfort anything. Finally spotting Shuki's black hair, which extended past her shoulders, she jogs towards her.

 "Hey Shuki.." smiled Fiona nonchalantly.

"Hey, sup?" replied Shuki happily. Shuki was always smiling, even when you pick on her she smiles, she one of those happy people, which suited her perfectly and every time she smiled her dimples would always show.

"Not much, I just had the strangest dream…" trailed of Fiona.

**

After telling Shuki the dream as they headed towards their locker, Shuki finally responded.

"You know, some Chinese people believe that dreams are a gateway to something, and also that some dreams can come true…" Shuki's voice trailed off, as she explained to Fiona about a Chinese drama, where this had happened and so on. After a long while of explanations Fiona couldn't help but feel slightly eerie, the dream had freaked her out, since there was something that she had left out, that she hadn't told Nathalie or Shuki… and that part she didn't exactly want to come true…
