The Pool Hall Mirror
Hey, here's look at you kid,
You're the only one dancing with shadows tonight,
I hope you understand that the ring in your doesn't hold much of its
sparkle no more.
And I challenge you to a paper weight duel at 50 paces at dawn.
Don't contact me about the writing,
As I'm in too much debt to reverse the charges,
So, throw the chime away and toss that phone to the floor,
And here's a tip: x ray vision at the exit deflects the stories of a widow.
It's easier to write in the dark as it is to write from the soul,
If windows are the eyes to the heart then gladly paint me five more,
I hope you understand this metaphor and under rate the conclusion,
Because it's only he one tosses the apple that will eat the fruit some
more.
I loved you more and loss my head in a gunfight,
It's more to open wounds that it is to take me to the hospital,
These scars are gonna heal crooked,
And this canvas is none blacker,
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, secretly concealed inside a
rucksack.
