Tears can come in many forms
Cold and hard, soft and warm
Tears can mean most anything
Happiness or suffering
Tears show weakness, pain and strife
Tears show joy and love for life
Tears come out when emotion's high
Releasing stress, hate, pain, and lies
Tears reflect what's in your heart
Eyes are windows; works of art
When you're betrayed, cheated and hurt
Cold tears fall down, down to the dirt
They take your breath, consume your life
Make you wish you had a knife
Kill your heart, hurt your pride
Frighten you; you cower and hide
With tears of pain that come out fast
Your breath is short; it will not last
But tears of joy are soft and nice
They warm your heart and melt the ice
They take your pain and mend your soul
Give back your freedom, life, and goals
Express your love, fill your heart
With hope and joy; a brand new start
This life of ours is full of tears
That haunt our dreams, enhance our fears
But help us grow in a special way
That makes life worth living every day
