Dancing dog, Merci, my dancing dog,
Where have you gone?
It's been so long, so long.
You've gone away to someone else who needs you more,
But I need you here,
Showing me that I can always laugh at life.
No more,
No more are you in my lap, licking my nose with your pink tongue,
No more are you grinning up at me.
Merci, come back to me again,
Won't you please?
You've pulled the plug on the light in our lives.
The room no longer shines with your presence.
Dancing dog, Merci, my dancing dog,
Where have you gone?
