A/N: If you’ve seen one of my other works, Pretend, you will know exactly where this poem stemmed from. Please review.

Betrayal

Coldness sweeps over me

Ignoring my desperate plea

The icy gaze of death turns

But still people refuse to learn

Reaching out, being blinded by the dark

Your betrayal leaves a horrible mark

Why do you ignore my cries?

And why must you believe all his lies?

Even when I become an empty shell

You only turn and yell

‘You’d never understand this!’

So what exactly did I miss?

My heart wants to harden

And you I cannot pardon

Is it that I am not good enough for you?

And you need him to survive too?

Maybe you’ll finally listen to my tale

When I laying in a pool of blood and so very pale
