Breaking The Habit
*It's almost over.*
The voice whispers to her.
She looks at the blood all around her.
What was happening?
Could she even begin to remember what was happening?
She felt her body being held.
Who was holding her?
Was it one of her friends?
Was it one of her parents?
Who was it?
She looked up into the face.
But saw nothing.
She wanted to find her voice.
She wanted to know who it was.
What was going on?
She saw the blood slip down her arm silently.
She heard distant voices.
*Why did you do this?*
The question came into her mind.
She wanted to break the habit.
She wanted to die.
She wanted this.
What was the point in living?
She always hurt people.
She always upset people.
She was the one at fault.
She'd never hurt or upset or fight with anyone again.
This was it.
This wasn't the way she planned it.
But this was it.
She felt the darkness surround her.
She felt the arms let her fall to the ground..
As her life silently slipped out of her body.
