The Girl, the Guy and the Portal
“For the last time Royce! I don’t like you!” a young lady said as she anger stomped away from a tall red haired guy. He ran after her and tried to win her over by words as she refused to listen. His green eyes met her slate blue ones as he stood in front of her. She growled and tried to walk away but he wouldn’t let her so she tried to push her way through him but to no avail. She crossed her arms and growled before pushing her thin framed glasses up higher on her pretty face. The long hair guy looked over her skinny, 5’10” tall, body as he wind blew her Sakura pink hair across her smooth, touchable skin. She could tell that he was almost drooling when she let her arms down and tried to push through him again. This time he stumbled which allowed her to get past him when he grabbed a hold of her small arm. She got sick of playing this game so she turned around and hoofed him in the shin. He yelled and let her go as he cradled his injured leg, that giving her a chance to escape.
The girl, Sakura, ran into the forest and began to look for somewhere to hide when she came across this tall, 6’2”, black haired male. She was sure that he hadn’t seen her yet so she hid behind a tree and watched as he got down on all fours and began to climb into a small hole in a tree. She watched bewildered as he placed some more of his long black hair behind his ear before he was soon out of site. She slowly stepped out from behind the tree and looked at the hole in wonder when she heard the familiar voice of Royce calling out to her. Half scared and half confused she crawled into the hole as well and was soon out of view.
She continued to crawl for a short while towards an odd light after for some reason the exit closed on her. She figured that I must’ve been some kind of prank to scare her away or something when she finally came crawling out of the hole. She dusted her navy jeans and red sleeveless shirt off when she caught a glimpse of the dark haired stranger again. He wore glasses similar to hers and had two earrings pierced into his cartilage in his left ear. She looked at him an blushed slightly at his rather handsome good looks. He wears an almost formfitting white button up shirt which he has the sleeve rolled up to just above his elbows while below her wears a pair of night black jeans. On his feet he wears black and red boots and for some reason he seemed to be carrying a sword. Sakura grinned happily as her blush brightened slightly. “He’s just like those hero’s in my romance books!” she thought when suddenly the ground began to shake. Sakura tried to keep to her balance but then fell over, that catching the guys attention as he gasped and turned around, giving her an angry look. The look didn’t last long as a giant centipede came busting out of the ground, dirt and grass flying everywhere. Sakura gasped when the mysterious guy just clenched his sword and began to run towards it. Sakura just sat there and watched as fire sprouted out from his back as two rugged looking wings appeared. His wings matched the dark color of his hair when suddenly she saw the guy fly off. She continued to watch in awe as he brought down his sword towards the insects head and with one quick cutting motion, had removed it instantly. After the insect had fell to the ground dead Sakura rose up onto her feet and began to dust herself off once again when the black haired cutie hovered just in front of her.
“Who are you?” he asked angrily as her shy smile turned to a frown.
“I’m.. I’m sorry,” she said she looked down at the ground. “I didn’t mean to follow you but I had to get away from someone and I didn’t know what else to do and then I go stuck here.. It wouldn’t let me leave,” she said as tears started to stream down her face. She didn’t like it when people got angry with her and yelled, it always seemed to make her upset, especially when she didn’t really have much choice in the matter like she did now. He felt kind of bad and sighed softly to himself before pulling her close to him. “Don’t cry,” he said softly as he stroked her head softly. “I’ll try and get you home,” he continued when she nodded.
“Thanks,” she replied when he smiled slightly.
“What’s your name?” he asked curiously as she wiped her eyes.
“I’m Sakura Minoto,” she said with a small smile as she looked up at his cat like eyes.
“I’m Cole Mazurka,” he said before his wings disappeared and his feline eyes returned to normal. They both stood there in silence when Cole took a step towards her, finding that he could look straight down her open chested shirt.
“So.. Uhm.. let’s go see the hole,” he said as his cheeks blushed lightly before he began to walk towards the tree which he used to get here. Sakura shrugged slightly as his weird behavior and followed. Cole tried many things to open the gateway back but it didn’t seem to work. After kicking it several times he gave up and sat down on the grass.
“Well I don’t know what to tell you, Sakura,” he said with a heavy sigh when she smiled towards him.
“It’s ok, Cole,” she said when he looked towards her and nodded.
“Ok then. Let’s get moving,” he said as he got up off of the ground and offered her a hand up as well.
“So where are we going?” she asked when he looked over at the forest.
“We’re going in there,” he said when she nodded.
“Ok,” she replied when he turned to her and grabbed a hold of her arms.
“I want you to stay close ok?” he said when she nodded slightly. “I don’t know what’s in there and I don’t want you to get hurt,” he continued when she blushed and nodded.
“Ok..” she said slowly when he released her and began to walk towards the woods. She watched him for a couple of seconds before running after him to catch up.
They traveled through the forest for hours silently, neither of them saying a word to one another as they made there way deeper and deeper into the forest. Cole looked back every know and again to make sure Sakura was still behind him when he noticed that the sun was beginning to set. He got them something to eat, them not saying much then either other then the fact that Sakura said that she liked his cooking. After dinner and the fire was out he turned to Sakura and looked at her for a couple of seconds.
“Come here,” he said finally as she slowly made her way over to him.
“Yeah?” she asked quietly when he pulled her close to him. She blushed softly as she looked up at him curiously. He smiled back down towards her before his wings sprouted out and his cat eyes appeared once more. They gazed down at her brilliantly as they flew up into a tree and landed in a sitting position.
“I’d rather you sleep up here in my arms then down on the ground where who knows what could feast on you,” Cole said when Sakura nodded and blushed, not knowing weither to be extremely happy or scared. She laid her back onto his chest softly as she made herself comfortable and fell asleep in his arms. Her watched the young girl sleep and smiled softly before he kissed the top of her head.
“Good night,” he said before he drifted off to sleep. The two slept together quietly, Sakura keeping warm under Cole’s large arms as he held her close and refused to let go.
