Even the Ocean

by : epiphanies

Even the ocean cannot break you

for you are the sun and all the world

without being sunlight and greenery

You are the world

in dark shades of gray and silver and even crimson, sometimes

Basic instinct waves into shallow water

becoming deeper in every stride

Without a care, lost deep in the ocean

that cannot break you, no matter how far you go

as it will make you buoyant

make you sail

and you can remain forever

because you are unbroken and not frail at all.

You were young once

but not now, no

You thought of pretty dolls and pretty horses

and never rode one or played with one

You had responsibility

being the sun and all the world

the one that the ocean surely could never break

for it was your birthright to be perfection

Ultimately it was time for the tide to surface

on your own waves that indeed never capsize

and your smile will light the world

that is bathed in a gothic darkness

Where the fireflies provide the only light

and the butterflies provide the only wind

Where the human race has lost to losing you

but the world has gained ever so much

for you were a gift at your very birth

for you were always to be perfection.
