Fae

Waved silk
So black it’s blue
Long and sleek
Falls past slim shoulders

Elegant curve continues the fall
To land upon a rump
Small but there
Satin soft and bare

Long limps lay intertwined
At the meeting of elegant digits
Thin and dainty
But not bony
They rest together under a softly curving chin

Set below inky locks
Liquid pools stare
Rings of colour flow outwards
Vibrant green to stunning turquoise to calming blue
They shimmer like water touched by sunlight
Smoky black lashes brush together in soft kisses
Striking against gently tanned skin

Small and gently curved
Her nose
Not pointed at the tip
Either side lie fields rouged
And below which
Two luscious pink pillows

Graceful legs bent at knees
Rise only to fall back into the water
Unsupported by her float
They create ripples as she spins
Tiny feet creating small dimples of a splash

But above all that
Lazily flowing open and shut
Lie butterfly like wings
Blue green and turquoise
Purple brown and black
Shimmering with each ray of light
Delicate swirls of a pattern

Resting atop the fallen leaf
Golden and red
She contemplates the autumn
Before finally flying away
