7 o’clock Rumors

Livi ania

Welcome to 7 o’clock Rumors-

A place to relax, and

Take in varying poetry,

Song, lyric, & verse.

Grab some coffee

And biscotti (or a delicious

Slice of cheesecake).

Just lay back,

Enjoy.

Don’t overtax yourself.

Find something to fit

The mood you’re in,

You’re all set now.

This first is a poem,

Written free verse,

In rather dreary mood.

If wishes were books…

Opening a new page

Turning to a new story

Picking up a new book

If only life

Were so simple.

I could re-write my mistakes

Edit out rough edges

Anything thing would

End up good.

Everyone would receive

What was coming to them.

The end would resolve itself.

Life doesn’t just end.

It won’t be revised.

But maybe life is a novel-

Just not mine.

We’ll finish with one last poem,

A rhyming couplet of fun,

Witches, and midnight runs.

True Night’s Magic

On our brooms we shall fly,

Flinging ourselves into the nigh’.

Hiding for untold centuries,

All beings of humankind’s mysteries.

Maybe our love affairs are tragic,

We find it a small price for magic.

We make ourselves a steamy brew,

Time again pulled into a story of new.

Don’t be the unlucky mortal to meet us,

For you’ll find yourself in a great fuss.

Never forget the technical name of witch,

Forever warned of the real name-

See you again-

Another time.
