A smile creeps across my lips
When I wake up next to you.
The morning light is pale on my face;
Washing clean every thought I've had
About him, about them, every promise
I tried to keep in spite of him.
I stretch and yawn; All the while
You hold me close.
We talk, we kiss like we did last night.
A moment ago, I didn't know you;
I couldn't see us being like this.
Sitting under a full moon,
Chasing the falling stars for
A second chance a fallen dreams.
And when we're lying here together,
Smiling at the rising sun,
Washed clean of every lie and sin;
Every imperfection we try to hide;
I can't help but pray it won't end.
Hoping all me dreams will return.
In your arms new wishes are born,
And the stars in your eyes have granted them.
