Emptiness Inside

There's an emptiness inside,
that I can't hide.

There's a loneliness I feel,
that I wish weren't real.

that tears me apart.

There's no sparkle in my eyes,
because all there is are lies.

There's no laughter in my voice,
because I have no choice.

There's no fire in my soul,
because it's a great big gapping hole.

There's something missing here,
that I can't help but fear.
