Sturdy metal bars before my eyes
Trapping grim, gnarled thoughts deep inside.
My screams left unuttered inside my head
My heart, my soul, left for dead.
If only I could lure away these fiends
Pull them away from my dreams.
I can't sleep, I can't eat.
I can hardly see through tears so deep.
They form a puddle of sapphire pain
And yet my tears, they are in vain.
I can't change the past
Can't even change the future.
And so I fear this pain will last
Forever and forever.
