Beneath the Shady Trees

Summary: Summer's end is coming.

Beneath the shady trees, I ride.

My horse and I,

Together we race:

The dying sun and rising moon;

The days, long and carefree, are coming to an end…

Beneath the shady tress.

Over fences, logs and water,

Up and down hills, rolling and forever green,

We ride.

As one we race.

No obstacle, fallen tree or otherwise, can stand in our way,

Beneath the shady trees,

In the countryside I love.

Oh how I long for those carefree summer days

Beneath the shady trees.

I watch the summer,

Bright and filled with joy

Fade away,

Along with the dying sun and rising moon,

Beneath the shady trees…
