Raindrops falling out of the sky
Though the sun still shines
Surrounded by iron.
A beautiful contradiction.
Like sparkling diamonds they fall.
A short life to live.
They flare like flames
And then are gone
Striking the ground at my feet.
Their purpose,
However,
Is not done.
Their lives were not in vain.
They soak into the cool ground,
Those tiny raindrops,
And nourish the flowers around me.
