It was always dark in my cell, the sun never seeming to shine through my small barred window. My name is Fell, or at least that’s what I’m known by. I later found that I gained that name because of the red angel wings which were tattooed on my back, everyone that came in contact with me thinking that I was some sort of fallen angel. I found that they thought that way about me not because of my false wings or because of some unnatural beauty, me possessing none, but because of my bad attitude.
I was sent to a large penitentiary where we, the prisoners, were stuck in our own little small stone rooms and were fed anywhere from 2-3 times a day, that depending on the jailors mood. I was always curious about what laid behind the large metal cylinder in the back of my cell when luckily one day I got to find out. Some how a tan hooded stranger seemed to slip into the jail unnoticed. He placed his arm through my small rectangular looking hole and pointed his open palm at the large metal plate. I wondered what he was doing when suddenly a bright light shot out of it and busted it clean open. I looked at the gaping hole in the wall in wonder and turned back around to find that the stranger was gone. It seemed like no one had noticed his brave deed or heard the sound to go along with it so I quickly ventured through the hole to find large wooden poles swaying back and forth rhythmically when I found that they were the singing pendulums which belonged to the torture chamber below. I laughed slightly at my luck and stepped through them before reaching the outside. I gasped as I looked at the outer wall to find a guard standing there. Surprisingly he just stood there and smiled before waving bye. I nodded and didn’t feel like staying around to ask questions so I jumped down into the water below and began to swim away unnoticed.
I swam until I reached one of the water cities sidewalks as I began to crawl up onto the corner, the towns people nearby freezing while the man closest to me got ready to draw his sword. Just then I heard a beautiful voice sing out “Fell, Fell, Fell has fallen,” it sang when I looked from the strange bamboo raft to the battle hungry man. I could’ve taken him but I didn’t really feel like getting into any more trouble, at least not yet. So I quickly swam over to the raft and climbed on before it slipped around the corner and down another street. I quickly found myself to be in the company of a tall and sweet looking girl. She dressed in a long, sand colored dressed and wore her navy colored hair down. I soon found out that her name was Melody, her saying that for the time being her place was here, on the water. Although it was strange I didn’t really say much about the flower décor place. I soon fell in love with the young and happy girl and we kept each other company everyday until one day I came back from stealing us some bread to find that she was gone. After he disappearance I stuck around for a couple of days and found out everything that I needed to know and now I search, wondering what could’ve made the sweet girl Melody flee from this place so quickly.
