Never Meant to Be

Small and dearest baby
Asleep in mother's womb
Little do you know
This will be your tomb.

Never will you see
Your mother and your father.
Mommy didn't want you;
You'd just be a bother.

Sweet whispers of tender love
You will never hear.
You were killed before your time
Darling, baby dear.

Your tiny, little hands
Will never touch the skies.
No one will ever hear
Your frail, helpless cries.

"Mommy! Mommy! Please!
I want to see your face.
I want to be born
In this time and place."

"Mommy! Mommy! Please!
Why don't you see?
I love you, Mommy, I love you
Please do not kill me."

"Mommy! Mommy! Stop this!
You are hurting me so!
Mommy, what's going on?
I really want to know."

"Mommy, I can't breathe!
What's happening to me?
Did you ever love me
Or was I never meant to be?"

"I can't fight this anymore.
Angels are what I see.
They've come to take me home
Because you didn't want me."

"I love you, my Mommy
I hope someday you'll love me,
Your baby that was never born
Nor was ever meant to be."
