Storming Thoughts

I don't know what's come over me
Why I'm thinking what I'm thinking
Where it came from
What it has to do with anything
I know it's pointless to long for something nonexisting
There are more important things
But right now I just want to be happy
I long to be loved
I long for someone to talk to
Someone who won't get annoyed
And will always care about what I think
Who will trust me to listen
Who won't hold back
But will hold onto me
Care about me as though I matter
And won't judge me
Everyone says someone is out there like that
I'm starting to down
Why can't I have a someone?
Why did I screw things up for me?
Sometimes I wonder why I even care
Or why I actually try

The rain keeps pouring down
And I don't see any signs of letting up
