I felt chills cascading
down my body like a cool
gust of air overhead
dragging past thick and full
like an earthquake
trembling and breaking
with me at the epicenter
ruins and debris
the shards of a universe
of me shattered around
it was like holding my breath
for hours but somehow
averting asphyxiation
until out of nowhere the
suffocation released
and I again could breathe
But as the oxygen's
movements to my brain
hindered I saw everything and
all that punctured me so
much like a knife to the
stomach but with memories
of tears and laughter
all in one dispersing through me
like a plague on a city
all I felt was change and energy
surging and diverging
but I was not alone as the
warmth of someone so loving
and so beautiful was right there
beside me to help me through it all
and someone so strong to help
us make it out alive
And I cry to feel whatever is real
but I know for sure that this is
that the love we share is true
full and vibrant and is all I need.
