My Perfect day

I sit amongst the daffodils and write a song or two,

Drink beer in the moonlight and sing a song for you,

Take walks along the towpath at midnight till early morn,

And then watch you pick daisies freshly growing on my lawn.

Or this is my perfect day,

Let the light never fade away,

On my perfect day,

My only day with you.

I sit submersed in my book and write a note to you,

Have friends round for dinner and chat like friends always do,

Take walks across the sea front at half past ten at night,

And then watch you pick me roses in the morning light.

Or this is my perfect day,

Let the light never fade away,

On my perfect day,

My only day with you.

The flowers are all gone,

The light is going away,

The day is nearly over,

Please just sit and stay,

For love is every lasting,

And all I want to say,

You made me so happy inside,

You were my perfect day.

Or this is my perfect day,

Let the light never fade away,

On my perfect day,

My only day with you.

AN:// This is the first song I have written. What do you think?
