The concept for this has been rattling around for a few days, so I threw this one together with a little forethought.

I'm pursuing a dream that disgusts me
It seems I have forseen what I can't be
(Guitar one comes in - think "The Kill")
But all this pain is weighing on my mind
I'm too restrained, I'm weakened and I'm blind

(Guitar break/solo)

I'm allowing myself to be a robot
Everything that I am is what I'm not
(enter guitar one)
But I think that I am losing self-control
This blindness and this frenzy take their toll
There's something else that I did not expect
A terrifying minute to reflect

I'm pursuing a dream
I may well have foreseen
But I'm breaking apart
Like I was at the start
(Pause with bass riff continuing, until guitar one comes in, remaining until the end)
But I think that I am losing self-control
This blindness and this frenzy take their toll
There's something else that I did not expect
A terrifying minute to reflect
I'm crying and I do not want to see
The agony and failure around me
I'm something that you knew you'd have to break
I still let you do it for your own sake

But I think that I am losing self-control
This blindness and this frenzy take their toll
There's something else that I did not expect
A terrifying minute to reflect
