Slowly the formless cloud gradually sprouted legs, arms, and body. As
the transformation took place Greg made out a tall, thin 20-year-old
man with, bulging biceps, stunning legs, long blonde hair, and a six
pack. " No no no. Think about how YOU look not how you WANTED to look.
There's a difference you know." Leon let out a long sigh. The tall man
became five foot eight and gained about forty-pound. He now had flabby
arms, fat legs. "Happy?" asked Leon. " Yes, now watch." Greg moved
towards Leon, cocked his fist, and punched right through leon's
stomach. Leon's body hardened around Greg fist pushing it out his
stomach into mid air. " OK, THIS IS GOOD! NOW THINK ABOUT MY LEFT WING
AND ATTACH TO MY BODY!"
As they flew through the flowing sea of leafs and branches, they began
to wonder "what time is it?" and "what will happen once were up
their?" filled their minds. They were confronted by a beautiful,
glowing moon followed by dark flowing clouds through the green crisp
leaves. "Oh no! Demonic souls are out. Keep a. uh can you see in that
form of yours?" asked Greg inquisitively. "Sort of. It's sort of fuzzy
through the feathers. Um by the way what's Tobago like?" replied Leon.
" Um, well, its pretty cool down there but the party are dead. Now
about those demonic souls. Now how can I explain this? Ok, souls are
like Jell-O. They can be formed into many, many different things. The
almighty or omnipotent god (named "Chuck") created all creatures with
souls. Chuck gave humans the ability to go anywhere the person thinks
he or she will go. If you think yourself you will go to heaven no
matter what, you're going to heaven. If you see yourself unworthy of
heaven you go to Tobago. If chuck sees you unworthy your ideas are
over ridden. And this doesn't just go for people who believe in one
god alone. This is for all people. But you know people who don't
believe in any god just lye there for all eternity"
Greg nervously looks all around. On the ground Greg points to a large
dog the size of a large car. "Oops a little off topic. Demonic souls
are souls stolen by the evil B.E.V.A Corporation. Soon after capture
they feed the soul poison. Now-" Greg was cut of as a three foot
scarlet colored bird dive bombed Greg's head. Leon and Greg plummeted
quickly to the ground. Greg and Leon raced to their feet as they
realized that they landed in the proximity of the huge dog. " I hate
killing souls. I really do." Leon froze. What did he mean by souls?
Was he going to die? Greg pulled out a small peace of cut triangular
wood. He started to spin the piece if wood between his fingers. " Come
on, come on!" Leon's instincts took over. He floated twenty feet
above the ground and yelled, " Come try to catch me now!" " LEON YOU
IDIOT! COME DOWN HERE! NOW!"
The bird flew straight for Leon's cloudy head. Leon easily dodged the
blow and floated down to the ground Greg was holding a flexible six-
foot long piece of wood that moved with the breeze. " There is only
three ways to re-kill a soul. And I hold one in my hand, Leon. Watch
and learn." Greg took back his wood and casted it forward like a
fishing rod. He then slammed it forward towards a group of birch and
elm trees. The trees (as well as the grass) made a low humming sound.
All the trees and grass moved in unison side to side. Then, in a flash
of light, all turned to stone. A green flare came shooting out of the
newly petrified forest and into the wood. Greg then moved his eyes
towards the bird. Whipping the wood at the bird, he sent a bolt of
gray brown energy at it. The bird fell to the ground gasping for air.
The bird turned to stone, after a large flash as the others did. The
birds eyes glowed red, and a red tinted ball of energy flew backwards,
as if to escape a predator.
Greg looked at Leon. " This was made from yrrl, tree of life. It is
the only weapon use angels carry. It is call a sliver."
I am very happy with this story. It's unique and fun to write. Just for reference yrrl is the tree that tell when the world will end in Viking myth. Odin hung himself on it for knowledge, and the future spinners lived under the tree.
