Mission 50: Assassinate senator Darwin.
I was on top of the 'classy' Hastings hotel waiting for Senator Darwin. He was the senate of the state of Wyoming. He apparently pissed some big millionaire off and now the millionaire has paid me to kill him off.
Sounds blunt but that's what I do. I'm apart of an association of assassins. Sort of like the kill bill thing only younger and we don't backstab our workers. For large sums of cash we are paid to kill people who get in the way of other people. It's an easy job and the pay is good.
I loaded my sniper quietly, and added the silencer. I used the aimer to see if my target had appeared. Apparently not. I looked at the ammunition that I had been given. It wasn't the usual bullet kind of thing it was more like little bugs. They were the poisonous kind that when you shoot someone they wouldn't notice and within twenty-four hours they would die and no one would know that it was me.
I noticed a limousine pull up to the nightclub and I aimed my gun laying low. I saw three bodyguards, the exact amount that it had said in my notes. I saw the senator and I aimed and shot at the back of his neck. He touched his neck after I shot obviously feeling something.
I pulled out my cell phone and dialled my boss, "Mission accomplished." I said into the phone then hung up. I took my sniper apart and shoved it into a black duffel bag. I went to the back emergency exit of the hotel and climbed down. I put the duffel bag in a giant garbage container and left the scene. A little bit after I dropped the bag in another worker jumped into the garbage container and picked it up.
I needed to be invisible when I left the scene so no one could point me out so I used the back alleys to get a couple blocks away from the scene. I picked up my cell and dialled my partner, "I'm almost there." I said then hanging up again.
When I made it to where he was silver beat up Volkswagen beetle was waiting for me. I jumped in and stared at my partner, "that was easy enough." I said.
"Too bad you have to go back to school."
"Eighteen and out remember. So how much do I get for this gig anyways?"
"I think seven hundred." Cal said driving towards the countryside.
"Seven hundred? Are you serious? I just killed a senator and his life is worth seven hundred grand?" I asked a little irritated.
"He was the senator of Wyoming. It's not like it's California or New York or even Texas."
"I guess your right, Cal." I yawned, "Can you believe it I'm in grade ten!" I said raising my arms yawning again.
"And you've already assisted in killing 50 different people all over the globe aren't you proud." Cal said. I wasn't sure if he was being sarcastic or not.
"My mom should be proud, you should have seen her when I made it to ten." I laughed. My mother used to be the best in this whole assassin business. It's like a family thing on my mother's side, although my dad doesn't know.
"She should be proud." Cal smiled. Cal is my cousin and he's only five years older than me. I used to be his charge but it turns out that I'm so good I got to be his partner! We parked a couple blocks away from my house, "have fun at school." he said as I got out.
I ran to my house and jumped into my backyard so no one would see me in the front. It was about three am and my dad could hear everything going on in the front of the house. I jumped into the bathroom window and got changed out of my executioner clothes, as I like to call it. I put on my PJ's and stuffed my executioner clothes in the hamper for my mom to wash.
I walked into my room and closed the door to go to sleep.
* The next morning I got up with no trouble and headed off to school. At school nobody knew I was an assassin. They all thought of me as the smart Christina Lane. It was like I had two personalities. I went into homeroom and sat nicely waiting for instructions.
My homeroom teacher started calling names like usual until she called out a name I didn't recognize. I looked around the room to identify with this unknown character. As soon as I saw him I knew, I was in love. I hate to fall in with the whole love at first sight thing but I did.
As soon as class finished I ran up to him, "Hi my name is Christina Lane." I said with a smiley face.
"My name is Shawn McMaster."
