I’m back, and hopefully for quite awhile. Or at least long enough until I finish this. I love this story, I can’t believe I abandoned it :’(. I was looking back on it and realized that I had no idea where I left off . In the past I have used an iMac to update the chapters but right now I am using a PC, I don’t know if this changes anything but I know that way back, before when Fanfiction and Fiction were together, it was easier for me to upload stuff from an iMac, so we’ll see how it turns out. I hope I don’t embarrass myself with this next chapter, and that all of you come back and read it. Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated. Here is the next chapter.
Shikoba paced the bedroom, biting his lower lip; obviously very irritated. Angels should stay up in Heaven, or in Eden. He thought rather angrily. For some reason, having to share Reivin with so many people got on his nerves. He didn’t quite understand the feelings that were churning within him. He had been converted at a young age and had been unable to experience what people his age were supposed to go through. However, he did know that he felt a very strong, emotion towards Reivin that demanded that she be with him, and only him, every single moment of the day. Obsessive Freak. He thought to himself. Whether he was referring to himself or to someone else he wasn’t quite too sure, but the words seemed appropriate for the moment. He glared in the direction of Reivin sitting on the edge of the bed where the Angel Septh was lying. The boy noticed Shikoba staring at him and tilted his head to the side, as if he found the vampire to be very out of place. Which was technically true.
“Rei, who’s the funny guy over there?” he heard Septh whisper to Reivin. Shikoba bristled, Funny? FUNNY?! I’m going to kill that kid, drain out his blood till he’s an empty shell, and then I am … His dark, out of place thoughts were interrupted by Reivin, “He’s Shikoba.” She said. “He’s weird.” Septh said rather bluntly. No, I’ve decided to hang him upside down and cut him up slowly. He heard Reivin chuckle, “Yes, he is.” She said. What?! …You will suffer too. “But he’s nice, and I do care about him.” His eyes lit up, “Even if he is a perverted freeloader.” Ow. He thought with a little hurt. “Well, if you say he’s safe,” Septh began. “Who said he was safe?” Reivin demanded, Exactly. He thought turning to give Septh a “I will eat you” look. Septh looked both shocked and frightened and thus causing Reivin to turn on him and demand that he leave the room. He have her a seductive grin and phased out of the room.
Here was a place of great power, of great history, and a place which spawned many who committed wrong-doings. Eden: where Angels who were almost independent of God lived and ruled. Within a large open room, Reivin uncle sat. A tall, bleak man who never smiled and always frowned, he took his job seriously and some said he would crack a very small smile when someone was executed. He was cruel to everyone around him and his company didn’t dare disobey him. His wings were massive and tinted blue suggesting an element of either water or ice, most likely ice to match his heart. “The spawn of my sister still manages to survive even after all of these years.” He growled.
Within the shadowy corners, Alune lingered, chewing on her fingers and looking as withered and distressed as ever. “Hehe, she’s alive.” She cackled. Her tentacles however seemed to slither in anger and hissed at her. “Silence, you vile creature.” E’mor snapped at her. His aura lashed out at her, cutting her in several places deep. Despite that she gave him a rather psychotic, happy, smile before she melted back into the shadows and left. E’mor actually shuddered once she had left. Half-breeds, how he hated them, repulsive creatures, “The supreme race shall always triumph over all.”
Hearing about his sister’s lover had enraged him. He had personally carried out his sister’s execution, as well as Gabriel’s, her vampire king lover. He never had told anyone, even if it had been ok, that he wanted his sister. He lusted after her, his sister Shashka was the one humanoid that he wanted. Jealousy had consumed him and had won over duty. How dare she fall in love with a vampire! How dare she ignore his advances, and turn him down! How dare she! He had brought it up to her before he had snapped her wings and cut off her head.
“We could have been happy Shashka,” he said to her, “You would have eventually loved me.” He said to her. “No,” she managed to say, “Gabriel,” and he snapped her wings, angered at hearing his name. Angered by the fact that even on the verge of her death she still thought of him. “Deny your lust for him.” E’mor commanded holding an executioner’s scythe over her neck. “I do not lust,” Shashka began, “I love Gabriel.” She spat at E’mor and he cut off her head.
“Foolish sister,” he hissed, “Your daughter will spawn hell itself. Watch me hell sister, watch as I kill your daughter.”
“We haven’t been able to locate him your highness.” Two figures knelt before the vampire king, Michael, a vampire who had only just recently taken over the throne. The vampire nation wasn’t suffering under his rule, but he had harsh ways of dealing with the ones who displeased him. His harsh blue eyes narrowed dangerously at the two from the darkness, and his aura churned around him, power that was so immense that it leaked out past the barriers and into the environment. “There is a call for blood and he ignores it.” He began angrily, walking down the steps towards them, “Our people are being slaughtered by the Angels across the planet, and Shikoba ignores my call.” Michael was seething with controlled anger, “He’s careless with his aura,” he shouted at the two, “How can you not find him?!” he demanded. His aura lashed out and smashed the two vampires into the wall behind them. They dented the marble wall before they fell to the ground.
He walked over to them and they quickly recovered enough to kneel before him. “Forgive us, but he’s masking his aura. We are not used to him doing this. He doesn’t want to be found.” The woman began. “He’s Shikoba, Shikoba will always let himself be known somehow, he has an ego which means that eventually he will start to display his power.” Michael began darkly, “When the humans start dying at an alarming rate in a certain area, Shikoba is there.” He hissed at them. “You two are my children, you are his Brood Siblings, and you three all have a connection. Don’t come back here until you find him.” The two nodded and vanished, leaving Michael completely alone. He stodd there silent for a moment before he finally couldn’t control the anger.
“Raaarrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhh!” he yelled out angrily, lashing out with his aura and pulling holes in the walls and floor. “He’s my 3rd son! Why isn’t he answering the call?!” the walls were cracking around him and a small hole was developing in the floor underneath him. “You were an Indian (I still haven’t chosen his tribe) dying from a bullet wound. That damnable priest almost took you from me. I gave you your life back Shikoba! Your people are being massacred. Where the hell are you?!” he demanded at the air.
The deity opened her eyes. She could feel all the angry auras around her, all the churning emotions. She smiled slightly though, “The climax is about to occur. Both sides have found a common dislike but they will each view it differently. God creates all living beings, to be cherished and loved. When one is created another living creature is made to connect with it. When you were created so very long ago Shikoba, God made someone for you. Cling to her, don’t let her slip away from you. After all this, even if you both lie dead in your graves, cherish one another. Because one’s life still continues even after death.” She smiled, looking down upon the city, enjoying the view. “Mmmm, so pretty.” She whispered.
