Superman

(Psalm 40)

INTRO:

Oh, I could walk around the world, yet not find peace of mind

I can’t find comfort while knowing that I am still so blind

I have been knocked down until I was black and blue

I feel there’s nothing I can do…yeah…

BREAK

I have been knocked down until I was black and blue

Then one day my eyes were opened to what was really true

I had been so blind, blind to my life of sin

I found that I still had one friend in the end

CHORUS:
His name is Jesus, and He’s the one true Superman

He saved me from the fire of hell; He is here holding my hand

I’m standing by His side, consumed by His constant light

It’s all right

BREAK

Some call Him strong; some call him weak, but still your secrets He will keep

He can’t be beaten, ‘cause even death could not hold Him down

I stumbled in and bumped my head; if not for He then I’d be dead

He picked me up; put me back on solid ground

CHORUS

BREAK

CHORUS

BREAK (Whoa-oh-oh…)

CHORUS
