Ears deaf to every sound of the person next to you
Bodies so close, so hot, dripping with breathing excitement
Your sweat becomes mine as we're pressed together
There are no rules, no boundaries
When you get to the side, you're pushed back in
Bodies fly over, kicking you in the head
Pass it along
Water sprays down in tiny drops too small to replenish
The body tires
You move, I move, you fall as well as me
Get back up and keep going
Beating so fast that there's no stopping the jumps
Kicks, turns, twists, singing
Release your anger and sorrow on everyone
And all is understood
Finally united in the heat of the show
One group, one motion, one voice
The America we hope to achieve
Is achieved amongst the outcasts, the druggies
The misfits
An act of individualism
Becomes a symbol for togetherness
We are the living contradiction
The good and bad is left outside
Waiting to be picked up when the music stops
But until then
We won't stop until our urges have been satisfied
In the heat of the show
