Still Here

The event may be
Three years old
The news, though, is still here

The wreckage is cleaned up
But the towers are missing
The danger is over
But the fear is still here

The planes are well-guarded
But our security lays in shreds
We look over our shoulders
But we can't help but look to the past

The victims are buried
But their memories
Won't fade away
The tragic images
Is clearly visualized

The pain we suffer
Still leaves us in tears
The anger we feel
Still burns in our hearts

It's still here
The tears and
The fears
The danger and
The anger
The sadness and
The darkness
Over us
It's still here

Jina-chan: Today...is a mourning day for the nation (of U.S.). I wore a black shawl as a sign of mourning even though I have lost no one to 9/11. I find myself very fortunate to have my family still together and not broken like others on that fateful day. And I cannot say anything funny which left me with writer's block on 'The Humorous Horrors of Life' and 'The Darkness Is Weird'. *very moody*
Jikuro: (Jina-chan's dark half) Since when are you so dramatically sad? For God's sake, you got the Inuyasha movie today!!
Jina-chan: I did? Oh yeah! I forgot!
Jikuro: *falls over* You idiot!!
Jina-chan: R and r my poem everybody. ^^
