A/N: Well, since school started I’ve been really out of it. I’ve seen this guy I have a huge crush on in the halls, and even still, I don’t write love poems. The poem below…I was dozing off in Algebra, because that is one of the most boring classes I have…and this is what came out of it. Feedback is much appreciated.

Distortion of Self

Long for a love that will break you

Desire for a time long since passed

See the distorted image of yourself

Through the broken glass mirror

And look through jaded eyes

To find the truth of a shattered soul

A moment gone, an eternity spent

Staring out your window

Time seems to hold

When you reflect upon the past

But dreams are only fleeting

And life continues on
